confusion about ds-160

Hello,

My fiancee recently completed the DS-160, but then she pointed out to me that her copy of the DS-160 instructions that came in the mail had instructions to mail the confirmation page, a copy of the personal information page of the passport, and photographs.

I was confused because I've been reading here and reading on the DS-160 instructions from online that she should be bringing the confirmation page with the other documents with her to the interview?

Please advise or should I contact them directly?

Thanks.

it's embassy-specific instructions - she needs to do it - it gets her into the next queue.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Is this after she pays for the visa fee?

How should she be mailing it?

Should she frontload that as well?

I'm a little bit confused about the order all of this should be processed in.

Thanks.

My step is as below, hope that can give you better idea:

1. Complete DS160, print out the confirmation page (2 copies)

2. Sign form DS2001-HNK and document check list and return them to the office with the DS160 confirmation page (1 page)

3. Go on line to http://ustraveldocs.com/hk. Fill out the form, print the pay statement and go to 7-11 to make payment... pay a non refunable application fee ...

4. Wait for 4 days, receive packet 4 with appointment date and steps on how to do the medical check..

But I know different countries has different requirement. ..above is my experience just happened last 2 weeks ...

  • Fill out DS-160 first and bring its confirmation page to an authorized CITIC bank to pay the visa fee.
  • Mail the reply of Packt 3 via EMS postal service in China.
  • You don't need to frontload the reply of Packet 3.
