You have to ask that question to those who attempt to sell the myth that voter fraud is an issue to begin with. The answer is simple - the myth was made up to justify the voter ID laws and mask their real intent.

Here is a question. If no one shows ID, how do you even know if fraud is occurring....

Voter fraud occurs all the time. Each election has its share of voter fraud. But it's not in person voter fraud. Believe absentee ballots have the greatest share of voter fraud. And yet, there's no attempt to reign that in. Clearly, we're not worried about voter fraud.

I'm for a long term solution to this. Just because its not an issue now, doesn't mean it won't be in the future. You could potentially have outside states influencing elections in the future.

I'm for actual solutions to actual problems. I don't like solutions that are searching for an issue to solve or hoping for an issue that the solution would actually address to come up somewhere down the road.

I mean keep the existing laws in place, as it is evident they are working just fine. Far more practical than requesting everyone produce a passport or military ID at the polling places.
