This is a personal analysis!

With the Nigeria this year still ineligible and with the low cutt-off numbers for Egypt, Ethiopia is also this year in the cutt-off list!! So I yhink this is a good news for applicants from the rest of the continent with high CN as we may get Africa reaching 90000 this year or even better get current :D

Good luck everyone

May20th : checked the dv and got selected (got exited)

May28th: Completed Ds-260 form

Now: Pending with big fair...

You do realIse all the cutoffs so far are not really based on anything than prior year though... They have only had two days of interviews for DV2015 so far... No-one will be able to judge until a few months of interviews have happened and they can see demand/progress etc.

Yes Susie this is correct but I don't think this year wil be very exceptional then all other FY's!!? do you think the changing from paper work to electronic will have a huge influence on the cutt-offs??

I don't think so cause in one hand more will people will fill the ds260 because its easy and free but in the other hand much people will not even know they were selected because no letter was sent from kcc!!

KCC haven't sent letters for years... DV lottery checks have been online since at least 2009, when I first entered.

Im not sure what you mean by not different than "all other" years. Both FY2012 and FY2014 were very different from other years since around 2008. In turn since 2008 had been very different to the years before the crisis. I think 2015 will be a lot like last year, in other words that demand will be greater than supply and there will be applicants cut off at fiscal year end.

Anyway you completely misinterpreted my previous post. You were talking about the cutoff being "good". I just pointed out that the cutoff was not based on anything tangible for DV2016 because they don't have anything tangible yet.
