Hello,

we filed i-130 in Frankfurt in May this year. So far everything was easy and now we have to go to the Inverview on the 8th of October. I am so nervous that the Visa could be denied :(

We are a familiy of four and my husband is an American/German citizen. I am German and our two children have also dual citizen ship. Since my husband lives in Germany now for the last 8 years he can not proof US-incom. Therefore we have his father as our Co.Sponsor and he has enough income to be sponsor. But I am afraid the Visa will be denied, because my husband has no income in the US at all at the moment. Is the Co.Sponsor enough?

And what about the domicil? My husband is still registered at his fathers house in the US and als recieves mail to this adress does that count for domicil or could that be an issue at the interview?

Thanx for your help!

Calm down.

Obviously if you're all living in Germany your husband has no U.S. income...unless he was working for a U.S. company, that wouldn't make sense. The co-sponsor's income should be fine.

I can see a possible issue with your husband being "registered" at a U.S. address while he lives in Germany, but i can also see where you guys would do that to make it easier for USCIS to do paperwork. And I'd explain it as such if asked during your interview.

You'll be fine. Get your paperwork together and get ready.

Regards,

Bill
