What if we have 2 addresses, well, he (the petitioner) is currently on a lease that his name is on, but in December we will be moving into another room (which we already have 100% confirmed, however, his name is not on the lease nor will it ever because it's his best friends house, and they don't have any formality for renting). Can we use the new address or should we use the one our name is on the lease? We would eventually need to get an address change. We already have access to the new room now, so receiving mail wouldn't be an issue.

What stage of the visa process are you on? Would help if you fill in your timeline. Anyway, since he can get his mail from the new address, then go ahead and use it. Would save you the effort of changing addresses mid-process
