Visa in hand finally.

So I finally got the passport with the visa in my hand and though the process has been fraught with worry (mainly me just freaking out) in actuality it was completely painless.

They lost my fiances photos which was kinda odd as they didnt request mine again

Interview was on 3rd sept at London, they ushered me through as was "immigration" so was no waiting outside. Once inside the interview consisted of basically nothing, very pleasant woman took the vital forms, chatted very briefly and said was recommended approval, I had a whole file of supporting documentation now unused.....

CEAC went ready on the 5th Sept, AP on the 12th and Issued on the 16th.

Visa arrived today, the 19th several hours late (deliveries 9-5pm eh DX? Right.....)

Tried to book flight for tomorrow, nice cheap one available through Delta (I fly delta only, lots of miles built up and they treat me well) but website failed to take booking, called them up and the French are on strike so Delta/KLM flights are packed with air france passengers to overload lol. Flight booked for the 23rd now

and thats all she wrote, lot of stress and worry but in retrospect everything went smoothly and everyone I have spoken to has been nothing but helpful, I just hope the Iceland volcano doesnt go off on Tuesday morning.....

How long did you wait from your issued status till getting an email from the courier? My visa was issued last Thursday and I've booked a flight for next Saturday I'm hoping I will get my passport back in time.

I bet you cannot wait to finally get going I'm so impatient at the moment
