i am married to us Citizen in Saudi Arabia since 7 months , i would like to start my journey for the immigrant visa ,but i am afraid to do it alone ,

Hi , i am Palestanian , live in Saudi Arabia , i get married 7 month ago , my wife is american , i would start sending the papers to the start the immigrant visa journey , but i am little afraid to do mistakes

do recommend me to hire a lawyer

how much will cost ?

who u recommend

another question my wife onlly spent the 1 st 2 years in her life in the states

she does not have a Social security number

is that a problem ?

Your wife, as the US citizen, is the one who needs to petition for you- the first part of the visa process is all on her. Our Guide will show you the process and some of the fees: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

She most likely does have a social security number, just does not know it. If she contacts the closest US embassy or consulate, they can probably help her to get it. The issue wil be that she needs to show intent to establish domicile in the USA before or at the same time as you'd immigrate, which could be difficult if she has never even visited.

This is a DIY site, so most people here do not use a lawyer or visa prep service; using such tend to delay the process as it is an extra step. That being said, they can be useful if you have a complicated case, or are just not good at filling in detailed forms.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
