Hello, it's my first time here. I am in the process of filing for a K1 visa. I am familiar with the forms needed for the k1 visa, but I have NO idea what I need for K2 visa. I don't even know where to begin I have pretty much done everything I need for the K1 visa but have not filed because I don't have anything for my stepson. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could provide some information on the forms and everything that I need for the K2 visa. Thank you :)!

Just list the childs name in 129f form for fiancee visa, any child unmarried and below 21 years of age if they are listed in 129f form they will have the k2 visa, doesn't matter if the child will apply at the same time with the k1 beneficiary or follow to join within 1 year of k1 visa issuance. Hope my info is clear.goodluck ?

For the I-129F petition, all you need is to list the child. There is nothing else needed for them.

When it comes time for you to apply for the K-1 visa in Juarez, then you will also apply for the K-2 visa for your child. They will need their own DS-160, visa processing fee, medical)needs to be done 4 days in advance of interview for children 2-14), and may need to attend the interview with you. You will also need the permission of the other biological parent in order to move with your child to another country.

Awesome! So when I send out the I-129F entire packet with the fee for my fiance do I need to send out the fee for my stepson as well? Do I have to send out passport style photos of him as well? Oh and what if the other biological parent is incarcerated in the US?

Nothing is needed for the child with the I-129F petition, other than listing the child on the petition. You pay only the one filing fee for the I-129F petition when submitting the petition.

You will need to contact the Juarez consulate and tell them about the situation and ask them directly about what will be required in order to get the child K-2 visa.
