Hello, i am seeking for anyone's view on my query. There are 9 steps of visa processing that anyone can possible go through. However, mine shows 4 stages only for both my I130 and i129f ( Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision and Post Decision Activity). Is this normal? I have seen from other people that they have RFE in it.. Should i expect mine on a later stage? Any thoughts?? Thank you.

Yes, that's normal. The other steps are for other application types, or when you have an RFE.

This does not constitute legal advice.

Thats normal. RFE is not a logical step in the Immigration process. Request for evidence is an administrative lingo used by Uscis to request for more documents if and when the need arises. So, if your package contains all that's required to approve your petition then you will not get a RFE...good luck!

9 stages is the first thing you will see in the USCIS website to check your status, but when you enter your case number, it will change to whatever you have to go through, mine has 6 stages (used to be 5 it was without the Testing and Interview). I received my letter of notice for interview this week so the "Testing and Interview" was added.

You will get RFE if your documents are not enough. If you've done what's necessary, submitted everything, signed whatever is needed to be signed, there's no need to worry then.

Hope everything turns out well in your application. :)

well, my husband submitted a copy of his Passport and a copy of our marriage certificate in both applications. So i guess, that suffice for now huh. I still have a long wait to do. Thanks.
