My husband got the call to bring his passport in to the embassy. He dropped it off at 1 and was told to come back at 3pm. He came back and they told him his visa wasnt ready yet. And they would call him. That was tuesday and still no call. Has anyone had any experiences with this? I so totally dont know what to think. I am so worried. I think they should have called him by now. Please anyone, can you give me some advice or your eperiences if youve heard of this happening? thank you

This is unusual, I think. Although I do seem to remember it having happened to a few others as well. I don't remember, however, how it all turned out.

If it were me, I'd have my husband try to call the consulate himself. If that doesn't result in anything positive, do you have a senator or congressman that has been involved with your case? Perhaps they could get some details out of Casa. It sounds like they may have jumped the gun in having your husband bring in the visa (maybe the name checks were *not* complete). I can't think of any other reason they would be unable to issue the visa. Casa doesn't usually have problems with that like, say, Cairo does.

Good luck, Mary! I hope someone who's had personal experience with this will drop by.

That's great news! Wonder what the delay was, although it doesn't matter now! Congratulations!

Check out the airlines that use your airport as a major hub- fares will be cheaper. I got Lufthansa (casa-frankfurt-houston) for $560.

Congrats!!! Go CASA, go! Try RAM, they might not be too cheap, but they speak the language and it's a non-stop flight to JFK or somewhere else too. royalairmaroc.com, don't know why I like them so much, but 1st time I've used British Air - I got searched twice - in London and Philly cause of henna on my hands. JFK is much more relaxed, at least for me.

Good luck finding tickets
