What to take to the civil surgeon?

What do I need to take with me to the Civil Surgeon? Vaccine records, DS 3025 and the CD from St. Luke's?

The CS looked at the first two with my wife. Never asked for the CD; just took our word for it that the xray was normal and we will not be needing any TB testng.

When we were going through the process my wife created a large binder to keep all her records in and neatly organized. Hence when she or we had an interview we would bring this with us and remove the documents that we thought were needed based on websites and instructions. BUT, in case they asked for more, we would reach into the binder and remove the additional requested document(s), which stopped any future delays, We never encountered the "I left that document at home, hotel or wherever, now what do I do?"

Thank you, everyone. Civil Surgeon charged me $370 (ouch) for TB test, syphilis, and booster shots of MMR, and a flu shot. She did not take the CD from St. Lukes since they are only accepting the real film of the X-Ray. Whatever.

Of course blood tests turn out negative. Now working on my AOS packet again.

You got ripped off for sure! Yikes!!

USCIS should have a way of reporting these doctors that scam people like this.

I don't know if you knew what shots you needed but for argument sake let's say you did. You could have gone to the nearest Walgreens, Target or any Doc in the box and only paid $15 to $25 for the flue shot. The other shots you could have gone to your county medical/human services where they would have given you the remainder shots at a reduced rate. To transcribed your DS-3025 and add from your receipts the shots you had, you should not have paid anymore than $75 to the CS. So in the end you may have saved as much as 50% of what you spent on the huckster CS.

Our CS insisted my wife needed TB test. I insisetd he was wrong. I told him she already passed everything at SLEC and we needed only vaccinations. He knew I was right so he backed down and just ordered Titers test, which showed all vaccinations current.

What did we bring him: DS-3025 and her passport.

Your wife already passed TB at SLEC? You don't need new TB test. Doctors love to convince you that you need one so they can make $$$. They know you don't need one. Hold your ground and they will back off.

I had everything done at SLEC, TB test, etc. When I got to this doctor, I gave her the CD that contains the X-Ray results and she said they don't accept CD copies. I just wanted it to be over so I paid.. ugh.

When my husband and I went to the civil surgeon, I was told that I need to have another medical and physical exam for $200 and I was like No way.. I showed him my vaccination record and my flu shot record (courtesy of Convergys.. hehehe) and I told him that since I already have those then all I need is to have it transcribed. It really pays to make some research before seeing these civil surgeons...

Civil surgeons are always trying to scam the K-1 for another physical.. ripe-off big time!!

I-485 instructions on page 4, section 7c clearly state only a copy of the vaccination record is required. Which is the DS-3025. Meaning no requirement for a trip to the civil surgeon at all.
