In the G-325 form for my fiance (beneficiary), there is a section for his past addresses for the last 5 years. I'm wondering if it will slow down the process or affect it in anyway if I include the Japanese address as his current residence (he is studying abroad until December of this year).

The address in the I-129F form, I put his former Brazilian address as his mailing address, where his family still lives.

Any thoughts?

If his country of domicile is Brazil and he's in Japan only for a short stay, you should be filing his application giving his Brazil address as the mailing address and permanent address. I'm assuming all his documents like birth certificate and passport issue are from Brazil.

The current address will however have to be given as Japan, hiding that information would amount to fraud and a strong ground for rejection.

Also, he will have to obtain the Police Clearance certificate from the passport offices of both countries.

I lived in the states for 2 yrs and worked as an au pair, do I need a police record from both my home country and the states then?!

You need a Police Clearance from the local passport office of each country where you have lived after the age of 16.
