Hey everyone so I just received my notice of approval from USCIS today saying my petition was approved and is now being transferred to the NVC two questions one how long does this process now take from the NVC to my husband being able to come to the US. My second question is I didn't get an RFE from USCIS asking for more evidence such as messages or pictures can the NVC ask for more evidence?? Thanks in advance

First congratulations. NVC has nothing to do with evidence. They are to collect documents for Affidavot of support and for the IV package. Some people do add extra evidence with their IV package so it will then be forwarded to the embassy.

But be aware just because USCIS didn't ask for any evidence doesn't mean you don;t need it. Did you submit anything of what you listed at all?

Also the processing now has gone from 30 to 60days to review AOS and IV. I have no idea what embassy you go through that makes a difference also. Some wait 1 to 2 months after case complete some longer.

So realistically you are looking at 4 to 6 months.

  1. It's taking 4 to 8 weeks to get Petition to NVC
  2. You get case number may be another 30 days or you may get lucky and get case# ion that 8 weeks from approval
  3. AOS gets invoices you pay send in package
  4. DS-261 need to be submitted. This will generate the IV fee
  5. 60 days to review and accept package
  6. IV package review and accepted 60 days
  7. Case Complete now you wait for interview

Click on the NVC Process wiki in my signature below and read up on the process.

Right now you are in a wait to get petition to NVC.

thanks for your reply dwheels! Yes I did submit messages and phone records as well as pictures with my packet the first time and I keep updating it monthly adding the new phone calls and messages to it just in case they require more! My husband is in Palestine so he will be going through the Israel embassy which I haven't heard anything about as far as time goes. I guess I can now start my AOS package and tax papers so they can be ready and not slow me down. Very excited that I am not in the NVC process hoping this goes swiftly
