Hello all, my step daughters visa recently has been approved and it arrived today. I am going to pay the 165 fee tomorrow. Unfortunately my wifes visa was denied due to her 10 year ban, so I wanted to know what do I have to bring with me to enter the U.S. With my step daughter? We have a notarized paper signed by her biological father allowing her to live in the U.S. But it only states my wifes name and not mine. Is that an issue and what else do I need?

just to be sure, if i were you, not sure if it is required but i would get something in writing from your wife giving you permission to take the child since she will not be going with you. just in case.

Mexico usually requires some sort of travel consent letter. I traveled to Cancun with my little sister and brother, and we had a letter from our dad for my little brother and my sister's BC showing my mother had sole custody.

This does not constitute legal advice.
