error in name

Hi Vj Family

My name was misspelt on the packet 3 Interview letter . Where could this error have stemmed from? All my documents that I have submitted have the right name .How do I go about correcting it?

Any input would be comforting .

Contact your consulate to correct the name. It could have been entered incorrectly by the NVC or someone at your consulate. It could be correct in the system and just a typo on the letter they sent you. Just let them know and make sure they have correctly in their system.

One thing though , when I use this letter to go for medicals wont they enter the name as it is in the Interview letter?

Should I wait to see if the Embassy will send me a new letter with the corrected name?Or should I go ahead with medicals and visa fee payment and later hope to correct it ?

I would ask your consulate about that before going ahead with anything yet. Hopefully they answer you and fix any errors quickly.
