Hi,

I thought i will write up this post in case there is someone out there wondering the same thing i was.

I am ready to send out my K1 packet this week and currently it is held together with paper clips for each section and one large clip binder on the top. This way i can take it apart with easy because i was making a copy of the whole thing and scanning it for my own records. I though once sending it out i would staple everything or leave it as is with paperclips. Than i found this on the USCIS website:

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

It clearly says to avoid staples and use paperclips instead and also if you are using Tabs to put them on the bottom rather than on the side so that is something new that i learned. Also after reading a lot on her i learned that they will scan the packet in and rearrange it to their standards.

Anyway, maybe this can help someone who is or will be wondering about he same thing. :)

Thank you!

Stapling is bad, even though I had some stuff stapled when I submitted my packet & it was approved. But I never stapled more than like 2 pages together & I predominantly used paper clips things that could be easily removed.

That's a good point. I was wondering about that before. Good thing i didn't staple them. The only staples i have are the plastic bags with passport photos in them stapled to a sheet of paper.
