So, we took a couple of days to enjoy being in the US together - it feels GREAT!

But now the form-filling starts again.

On the I-485, what are you supposed to write for 'Current USCIS status' (if you entered on a K-1 and are applying for AOS to conditional residency)?

And what is the 'Non-immigrant visa number'? My visa has a 'control number' and another number under 'annotation' - is it either of these?

Many thanks if you can help us with our form-filling!

March 2006: I-129F submitted ...

I would think that your current USCIS status would be entered on K-? Visa

"Non-immirant Visa Number" is the "A#" listed on your Visa.

Thanks for swift response!

BTW: is our A# 'non-immigrant visa number' also the A# 'File Number' that's requested on some other forms?

Yes. The A# is the Alien Registration Number and I think they also ask for it on the G325 etc.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

Aha! That's very useful to know (they do ask for it on the G325a). Thank you!

The non immigrant visa number is NOT the A#....

The non immigrant visa number is the red number on the visa.

The A# is a number that is (usually) on the visa....and NOA2....it starts with an "A"
