My interview was on July 1st.

On August 7, 2014, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our SAN FRANCISCO, CA location.

What is going to happen next? Am I going to get rejected or Denied? I am scared.

No one in these forums can tell you if you will be rejected or denied (which, I think, are actually the same thing, right?)

I suppose some informed speculation might put your mind at ease while you wait to hear from the USCIS, so, why don't you tell us what evidence it was the USCIS requested and what evidence you subsequently submitted?

You know what.. I received a RFE but they never really send what they required from me and now I received this notice online through case status. So if you ask me what evidence they requested from me.. Nothing at all.

That makes no sense to me:

1) You received an RFE; what did it request?

2) If they did not request any evidence, how is it that you were able to comply with their order and send them "evidence" anyway?

I agree with the previous poster (Darth)... the more details you provide the better the advice you get will be.

In your other posts you've said that you got an RFE, then a letter saying you were sent that RFE in error and not to worry about it. My guess is that they just fixed the error in their system to ndicate that they don't need any more information from you. So the system probably sent you the standard "thanks for replying to the RFE" message, even though you didn't reply.

It's probably just an indication that in the computer system, you are now where you need to be; post-interview and no RFE.

Now if you tell us what the decision at the interview was and of any unusual details, we may be able to give you some advice, but no one will be able to tell you if you'll be approved or not.

Jimmy yes they said there are no request for evidence when my lawyer went to check for me. It was an error and when my lawyer checked on my status it is on judicial pending and no details when they will reply me with a date. That was on 7/16 when my lawyer requested.

So there are never a request for evidence and why I am receiving this evidence review? I don't know. Maybe you are right Jimmy, they might be just saying "We screw up all the times!" thank you for wasting your time and living in fear. =\

Why are you living in fear?

Living in fear of being rejected. My wife is currently a F1 student and she is depending on my status adjustment and my baby daughter is still at 15 months. I have to clear my citizenship and apply her GC so she can travel out of United States if she has to. She wants to go back to visit her dear grandparents and she cannot now. Her grandma passed away and she can only sit still in United States. sigh.... so don;t you think I am living in fear now? So many worries and concerns about this citizenship.

If you meet all the requirements you shouldn't be afraid or worried.

If you don't meet the requirements, you need to figure out what you need to do to fix that.

So stop being afraid, and just start being annoyed that the process takes too long... just like everybody else. :-)

No, seriously, if there's something in your application that worries you, feel free to ask us. If not, then don't worry about every communication from USCIS; the process takes time and it'll end when it ends.

When you're done, it won't matter whether it took 3 months or 4 months.

Worried_joel,

I am very sorry you are living in fear. Here are some facts I think will allay some of your concerns:

1) Statistically, there is a very low risk of being denied an application to naturalise as a United States citizen. Even those who repeatedly fail their English and Civics tests, carry questionable criminal records, only barely establish Continuous Residency, and so on, eventually naturalise with no or minimal problems. So, as long as you are eligible, and as long as you don't have a truly dark and dreadful secret you're hiding from the USCIS, your worries are fairly unfounded

2) It's true your wife's and daughter's statuses depend on your successful application, but while it is pending, all of you can still travel, including your wife. As long as you are currently "in-status" and your wife's F-1 visa is valid and she is in possession of a valid I-20, she can come and go as she pleases; with greater freedom, some might argue, than an actual Legal Permanent Resident!

3) Why don't you call and see if you can get updated information on your case or schedule an INFOPASS at your local field office and see what you can find out

I don't want your suffering! I don't want your future!

The immigration officer who interviewed me the first time wanted more information based on some research he said he needed to do, he wanted to review the specific evidence documentation I submitted in person, and he wanted the office supervisor to sit in on the second interview. I posted a detailed interview debrief in the March 2014 thread on or after 16th July. You can review it there if you like.

Hi there, did your I/O who interviewed you said directly to your face that he needed you to come again for the second round on the same day??

I did not find your post after searching up and down. Can you post me a link? Thanks
