im getting ready to mail my n400 so i want to be sure i get things right. im filing under the 5 yr rule. do i still need to mail a copy of my annulment in the phils? my 1st marriage was annuled . it says on the uscis site:

If you were married before, send:
Proof that all earlier marriages ended (divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificates(s)).
im not sure if this refers to people filing under the 5 yr rule.
my 2nd marriage was to an american citizen who petitioned for me to come to the usa.

Yes, you still need to send this documentation. I believe this is to prove good moral character. Making sure you were never married to two people at the same time. Which would be a violation of current laws.

Not sure what the 5 year rule is...but, all previous marriages must be accounted for...with proper termination paperwork.

The "five year rule" just means that the OP is filing based on being a permanent resident for five years, vs filing being a permanent resident for three years and married to a US citizen spouse. I am thinking the OP is thinking that they don't have to provide information for prior marriages because they are not filing based on marriage to a citizen spouse. That is not the case though. You must always provide documentation of termination of prior marriages, five or three years regardless.

Ok...didn't make that connection with the 5 yr rule...we're not there, yet! LOL. But, yes, very true that they have to report...as I mentioned in my message...

my thoughts are: the fact that i was able to come to the usa , passing the interview at the embassy in manila, that means they already looked in that :crying:
