My fiance went for an interview and made a mistake with the month where we met......somehow a lost in translation, in any case, she was told that she is ineligible at this time and must provide more documents such as:

  1. Proof that I purchased the plane tickets
  2. Statements of events of how we met and how we spent time with each other while I was over there.

My question is - how many pages do I need to write? I mean I can write a novel if I have to but is it necessary?

Thanks in advance.

Im sorry to hear this. These are items I would have included in the original petition to prove that your relationship is valid.....emails, ticket receipts regardless who bought them, pictures of the two of you together, phone bills, etc. Moving on...I would write as many pages as you can with details of how your visit together was...did you see movies together? Meet her parents? Did you visit any places that you might have pictures or souveniers from? Yes - write a novel if you have that much information to provide. Its a shame you went all the way only to provide more evidence...it will soon be over...you only have one more hurdle.

Having gone through a 221-G such as you are dealing with now I would suggest you hold little back. I am not saying send thousands of pages of e-mails but the more you sell your relationship the better off you will be.

I had to submit additional proof three times before it got approved. If you have any phone records they seem to like those. Talk to the immigration specialist at your congressmens or Senators office. It can only help. Good luck. I know your frustration. I have been there.

I appreciate the information; however, they are not asking me for phone records or emails, etc., they only marked the 2 statement request part where I need to give further information of our relationship and how we met, but it must be hand written. They've also asked for copies of my passport showing the entry and exit stamps, but it states that "All entry and exit dates must be legible.", this is what gets me, some of the stamps are fuzzy and it's not my fault if their people can't stamp it good enough..........

You got a rather unusual 221-G. If I were doing it I would write about two full pages and I would put a bold heading on each section to make it easy to follow. I have never heard of quite that reason so I am just taking a guess and giving you my opinion.

Do you have any proof of buying the plane tickets? They like boarding passes but anything is better than nothing. I would also put a copy of your passport with the entry and exit stamps even though they did not ask for it.
