Hello all,

I am looking for some help please for those who have or are going to interview at the embassy in Cairo. My wife received a letter indicating that she has an interview on August 17 for her K3 application. Prior to that letter neither my wife or I have received any communication from the embassy indicating what she needs to prepare and bring with her. The only thing they have sent (finally after countless emails by me) is that she needs to complete her medical examination. Everything I have sent them I have sent through my own research.

I know that they have the approved K3 packet sent by the national visa center. I also sent the I-134 form, my personal information, last 3 years of tax transcripts.

I am hoping they have everything they need since they haven't indicated that they need anything else (however, through my dealing with the embassy I have found them very uncaring, rude and dismissive)

I should also mention I have an approved I-130 currently being processed at the NVC (still in initial stages, 2-3 months to go i believe) and was quite surprised that the embassy even scheduled this interview.

Can anyone please share with me a checklist of things my wife should bring with her to this interview? Perhaps someone can send me a screenshot of their packet 3 and packet 4 letters?

I thank you all so much in advance for your help, and hope all of you are united with your loved ones soon if not already.

Keep in mind that if there is anything missing at the interview, they will tell her what they need then and await those materials before the visa is issued. But having the interview is the most important thing--the torture is over! Can I ask when your petition was approved through NVC?

Either you or your wife need to call or e-mail the Embassy and tell them you have not received anything and when the interview is. They will send you all the information you need. You do need the medical and choose from one of the Dr's on the Embassy in Cairo's list under marriage. Just remember not to open the package from the Dr or you will have to do it over again. If your wife needs vaccinations it's best to go to a reputable clinic before she goes to the medical because they are extremely expensive at the Dr the Embassy has on their list. Remember your wife needs to go to the Medical exam no later than two weeks before the interview.

Yes the monsters at the Embassy are horrible and the way they act is inexcusable! Much luck to you and your wife. (F)

This is the best e-mail to use usually takes two to three business days to reply but you will get the list of things you need in the e-mail and remember they will have on the list the original documents but since you already sent them in to NVC you wont need them. If you have copies of them that would be great to take just in case.
