Hello I wrote to NVC looking for information regarding my case and I got back the following:

Please be advised that the I-797, Notice of Action sent with your inquiry is a Receipt Notice and not an Approval Notice. Please provide a scanned copy of your I-797, Notice of Action - Approval Notice indicating that your petition has been sent to the National Visa Center (NVC).

In that I-797 statted that my case was sent to Texas center... What does it mean? It got lost? I still have to wait for approval? How much longer? It was sent to with a date of April 22...

Texas i really slow and Im so desperate :ranting: :ranting: :ranting::crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

K1 flowchart here for your reference: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

The first notice you received is what is commonly known here on VJ as NOA1, which is step #3 in the link above. This is just to notify you that they have received your payment for your I-129f application and that they have forwarded your files to Texas service center (TSC), which will then proceed to queue in your application for review. At TSC, it is currently taking 6-8 months for the approval (NOA2). So it is best to prepare and brace yourself for a long wait.

You can also check with your fellow April 2014 TSC K1 filers in this thread to see how they are faring: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/493636-april-2014-tsc-filers/

It seems as though you received your noa1

Your petition had not been approved yet and you need to wait until it is adjudicated at tsc then you will receive noa2. After that tsc will forward your petition to nvc and you will receive notice of this. You still have another 3-4 months until your noa2.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.
