Hi everyone,

I am starting to get concerned as we have an RFE which was received by USCIS on 6/5/14 but no online update at all, it still says the Request for Evidence. The EAD/AP is still in Initial Review. Am really itching to get back to work! Has anyone had a similar problem where the online tracking system does not update?

Also, my original biometrics date was on 5/13/14 but I have very feint fingerprints and had to have them redone. I had them redone on 6/20/14 and have not heard anymore so hopefully they were able to process them this time! On the letter that said I had to have them redone it only listed the I-485 as being on hold, not the I-765, but on the original biometrics letter it said it was for both the I-485 and the I-765 so will my EAD further be delayed because of biometrics problem?

Can anyone advise as to when I can expect to receive my EAD?

Thanks!

The whole time you had a RFE pending, your case was on hold. You kept RFE for a month. So it takes 90 days for an EAD, and add to that any time the RFE was pending, so one month.

Expect it by mid-August.

The online system does not update reliably. It is not actually connected to your real case. Good luck.

Thank you, Harpa Timsah!

Was worried that having the fingerprints re-done would put everything on hold also!

They can actually issue EAD without biometrics. It is extremely rare, but it happens when there is a long delay in biometrics capture for whatever reason. After the 90 days (plus RFE time), they will just issue the EAD. So the biometrics thing shouldn't make a difference. Good luck.
