Hello all, this is my first time posting on this forum. My husband and I are in the process of obtaining his spouse visa (he currently is still living in Canada) and our case is currently at the NVC awaiting our AOS and supporting documents.

We filed the DS260 online last night and also submitted my husband's supporting documents (photos, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) via the NVC email address provided on their website.

Must we also submit the affidavit of support via email now too, since we chose to email the other supporting documents? The affidavit is long and contains many supporting documents as well (tax returns, proof of employment, etc.) so my concern is that it is too big a file to send via email. Does anyone have any experience with emailing the AOS? Unlike regular mail, it is unnerving to send all these important documents out without having any sort of way to track them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you email you have to email EVERYTHING, if you snail mail you must snail mail EVERYTHING

As you've chosen email, you must continue to email.

break down the AOS into sections as described on the NVC website. Also use adobe or another pdf program to compress the pdf into a manageable size.

Hi,

I submitted tha AOS package online and had no problems at all. Although I ha do day ours was really simple and I used the I-864EZ form instead do the regular. I sent a cover letter, the I-864 EZ, tax returns for the last 3 years and letter of verification of employment.

Just scan the documents and then convert into PDF so that they are smaller.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
