Our case has been updated to "ready' with some confusing nonsense about having an interview and getting her medical at St. Lukes. My fiancee has done both. I have a professional helping me with my case and he told me it is still possible for them to ask for additional information? Is this true? I have read many cases from Visa Journey and none have had this happen when they are in "ready" status. Anyone out there hear different? Thanks everyone for your help!

My experience with the London/UK embassy suggests that, having completed both the medical and the interview, when your CEAC status goes from AP to Ready, they've completed their checks and your visa will be issued soon. Any of the blurb underneath is just boilerplate text that doesn't necessarily apply to your individual case. And if they were unable to make a decision without more information, they would have told you at the interview. You were approved at the interview, right?

Someone with more experience of the US embassy in the Philippines may be able to give more specific advice.

I experienced it too when my case is in AP and after 2 weeks it says "Ready" then in the next morning it is now "Issued''.

Thanks for your feedback. I had read other cases similar to mine but couldn't find one instance where they asked for additional information or a second interview. It says "ready" for a reason. I think the professional helping us with our case has proven to know much less than the combined wisdom of the folks at Visa Journey. :dancing:Thanks everbody!

Hello daviddelen,

Mine it's been Ready for interview for 4 weeks now, no additional form or another interview requested, we have been calling the USEM and they are saying that just wait for the 2GO people to call when the passport is ready for pick-up.

They didn't say we are on AP or additional docs should be forwarded to them.

We can't do anything for now, all the answer from them are very standard....so we are waiting and I hope we get our visa soon and now 4th of July is coming, we are hitting another holiday and that's another non working day for them...

Good luck for both of us!

Now it says "read" case open please wait two business days! That's one step closer. If we have no unecessary delays I expect my fiancee to have her visa in hand next week! I remember when I sent the additional documentation the professional I had hired told me it would slow things down. Considering it cleared up why my income didn't match my savings I was skeptical. He really caused me undue stress because he made it sound like I could get denied because i didn't follow his sagelike advice to the letter. Well, I was right! He winded up raising my stress level and being wrong at the same time. I can't thank the members of Visa Journey enough. We are going to do the AOS by ourselves and skip "help" from professionals. Nobody will put more time, effort, and love into your case than you.
