hi guys :D

this is not about just ds-260, but the whole process. so here's the story:

2 persons in a case, me and my teenage daughter. you know better that there's a choice for the question: is this person travel with you to US? if i say NO. can i bring my daughter later to US without a long time case issue? or if i don't take her with me this may lead to my denial of visa? any suggestions?

thanks in advance :)

You have two options for travelling later: 1 is "follow to join" where she gets a DV visa as well (although later than you do) so must still get by 30 Sept of your DV year and travel within 6 months of the visa (or less depending on visa expiry). The other option is that she does not get a DV visa and you sponsor her later. That will take a longer time and be more expensive. How long will depend on when you do it, ie if she is still under 21 or not. If she gets married you will not be able to sponsor her at all until you become a citizen.

They can't deny you a visa for not bringing her with. The instructions specifically say you must list all children under 21 but that they do not have to immigrate.

thanks SusieQQQ for answer. so, how can i implement the first option? ("follow to join")

Choose the correct option on the DS260. Be aware that if you have a high case nunnery this is not really a good option as even a follow to join visa must be issued by 30 September of the relevant year.
