If/when my AOS application is accepted and I hopefully get my green card. Can I still visit home and come back with no problem?

Also, once my partner is done with law school we would like to live in the UK for a while? How would we do this? Would she need to get a spouse visa whilst in the USA?

Thank you :)

1. AOS application accepted doesn't mean you become permanent resident. You will have to take interview to be approved.

2. You should consider if your trip length is more than 1 year, you need Re-Entry Permit to enter US.

3. You don't need any visa once you become permanent resident.

Yes, your greencard allows you reentry into the US.

If leaving the US for an extended period of time, you can lose the greencard (permanent resident status). Study the requirements so you don't abandon it unknowingly and have to start over. Maintaining your greencard http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/maintaining-permanent-residence

If you become a US citizen you can come and go freely and live abroad for any length of time. You will be eligible 3 years from the date your greencard is issued. You won't lose your British citizenship by becoming a USC.

For your spouse to live in the UK, there is an application process. You need to be earning for 6 months in the UK at least £18,600/yr or have earned that salary or more for 12 months in the US and have a job offer to start in the UK that meets the income requirement. Or savings of £62,000ish. No family members can help sponsor. You must have the job. The income requirement is still being challenged but has not been changed yet. Or your spouse can be a visitor for 6 months.
