My fiancee (a Russian national) has lived in Russia the past year and a half. Before that she lived in Israel five and a half years as an illegal alien. She was sent back to Russia without the right of coming back. Will this be a problem in obtaining a k1 visa for her to come to the U.S.?

Not sure how big of a problem it may be, but the consul will probably ask some questions about that, as the questions are in the DS230 (from packet 4) and it asks if you've ever overstayed an entry into a country or been deported. She'll have to answer yes and give details. I think this question may need legal advice. Good luck.

Thanks for the response. What part of the DS230 is this in? I looked through it but couldn't find it.
