Disheartening discovery

Before I get into my finding, I just want to brief you on my Journey to petitioning my wife from the Philippines. On April 5, 2014 I mailed the i-130 packet along with every evidence of proof of marriage I could get my hands on. On April 24, 2014 my i-130 was approved and I received my NOA2 on April 27. I was shocked that I got past this phase this quick. So off to the NVC portion. I called and called everyday til May 8th, when the Cust rep tells me they received my case but I have to wait to be assigned a case number. So I call again everyday till June 6 when I receive an answer I never thought I would hear.." Did you receive your Noa2, what is listed on your notice date, because we havent received your case yet". So I complain and try to explain to the rep that you guys already received my case since may 8th. They tell me to contact NVCresearch to find out, so I did, but until now still no reply. So here we are now, today I just thought to just punch in my receipt number on the USCIS case status site again and see if something new pops up..and surely enough I get this

Post Decision Activity

On June 11, 2014, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

What! Has anyone received this before. Is this bad news? NVC returning my case back for additional review. My wife will be so sadden later when I tell her of this news.

It's possible USCIS did not send the complete file to the State Department and are doing so through that mechanism, or it's possible there is something greater amiss and they are asking USCIS to revoke their approval. You will have to wait to find out, unfortunately.
