Petitioning for a family member is really one of the most annoying processes that anyone can start. I don't know if they have an order to process forms. I keep looking at people's timeline and it seems that there is no order. I have seen people sending petitions way after I sent mine and they already have their cases completed, just waiting for an interview. If someone has a tiny mistake on their papers, it seems to set them back months! Wow, I can't wait until this WHOLE THING is completely over, because to be quite honest it drawns all of your energy.

So where are you in the NVC process? Are you saying you haven't got case# yet from NVC? Have you called yet to inquire what is the issue?

Have you verified with NVC first you are there? If not have you called USCIS to see when your petition was sent out.

You have 83 days since NOA2 and no movement so concerned where you are at.

Hi, I already have a case number. The thing is that, I filed my petition while I was a LPR and then later on upgraded my petition because I became a USC. Well, they didn't received my documents and sent me an email about no visas available at this moment. I re-sent the documents about three weeks ago and they said that they have not received them yet. Anyways, today I called the NVC and they told me that it takes four weeks to five to upgrade a petition in the system. They claimed that they receive thousands of letters daily and it takes a while to get sort it. I am really hoping that it is true. I get a bittersweet feeling every time I notice that most of the timelines that I am following get upgraded and mine is not moving ?. Plus, I want my step-daughter to be here before the new school year starts. She is only 5.
