Hi everyone!

I have a couple of questions about the I-864 Form. I have been searching for answers and haven't seen any posts regarding these topics.

First of all, the barcodes. Is there are a problem if I print out Page 8 (the sponsor's contract continued which asks you to print sponsors name and for the signature and date) and fill it out by hand? Does it affect the barcodes since they shift when you type in stuff?? I know this is probably a weird question but I am having anxiety over this!!

Second, my joint sponsor is self employed. Is it necesarry for him to present pay stubs and letter of employment?? Or just include tax returns from his 2nd or 3rd most recent?

How should I place supplemental sheets? My husband's address is too long to fit inside the tiny space provided in the form. Should I place it after the page or at the end of the whole I-864 Form?? I have also added a written explanation because I did not file taxes in 2011 (no income) if anybody would like to proofread/give me an opinion. ( I know, I'm a hot mess right now...)

Lastly and what is probably itching at me the most, I had trouble finding a joint sponsor which caused me a two (and a half..... almost 3) month delay from the time I paid the AOS fee. I did not fill out my DS-260 until now because I wanted to make sure I had a joint sponsor. Could this cause any problems or further delay?

I know these are a ton of questions and I will be profoundly grateful of anybody who takes their time to answer any of my questions!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Printing the name by hand is what is requested, even though the form allows you to type it. No problem.

A joint sponsor would not have a pay stub or employer letter. Include 2013, 2012 and 2011 complete copies of tax returns.

Supplemental sheet for an address on a form is placed after the form.

A delay of less than one year is not a problem. Relax.

Why didn't you file a tax return? Answer in one short sentence and I'll make it short enough for you to hand write directly on the form. A common reason is that your income was below threshold to require filing. If so, simply hand print in the tax section "Not required. Income below filing threshold."

Use the bar coded cover sheet you download from the payment portal.
