Well, tomorrow I leave for my 4th trip to Russia. :) I will be there for 2 weeks. It will be cold there but I am looking forward to this trip. I have been to Russia now for 3 of the 4 seasons of the year. This trip will be the 4th, winter. Also, this trip seems alittle bit more special than the first 3 because this is the first trip after submitting my I-129f to Nebraska. I can't really explain it but it does feel alilttle different. I think my fiance is alittle bit more exicted too. I think after the extra 6 month wait we had both of us feel like things are moving forward now. :D Talk at ya later............................

Hi all,

Well, it is winter here but they aren't having winter-lilke weather. It has been unseasonably warm here. It is a good thing too. The airline lost my bag, so I had to buy a few things here. I hope the warm weather holds. Anyway, it is nice to be with my finance none-the-less...............

Sure wish I was there.

(They lost my bag too. Mine was a number D-25 on the little "point to what your bag looks like" chart at SVO. It was a black bag that looked just like everyone elses black bag.... MADE IN CHINA!)

I never (ever) check bags. When I have been forced to, I have about a 50% record of not having my luggage when I arrive. In the states, I will Fedex bagagge to my hotel if I have to, rather than check it.

I have only been to Russia in winter (December and January). It wasn't that bad. To be fair, we do live in Florida now. I ride a bicycle every day. I sail too. I would play more golf, but I am a bit lazy. We are outdoors now.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got back from my trip. The time spent with Elena was great but the travel to and from was horrible. First of all, my bag never showed up in Moscow with me. (I picked it up on the way back thru though, it turns out it got to Moscow three days after I did.) Then the plane was 1 hour late leaving Moscow for New York, so when I arrived in New York it was a race to get through immigration et.al. and make it to my next connecting flight. And if that was not bad enough, the plane was over 1 hour late leaving New York, so again, it was a race at my next stop to catch my connecting flight. This concludes my travels to Russia for a while. Elena will here this summer sometime.

The weather there turned out to be unseasonably warm almost for my entire trip. It even rained a couple of days. I don't think the temp ever got below -10C the whole time I was there.

My NOA1 came in the mail while I was gone. YEAH!!

That's all.........

Thanks,

One thing I learned is that I will avoid JFK at all costs. That airport is horrible. I prefer Atlanta much better. The flight from Atlanta to Moscow is long, but I change planes one less time going thru Atlanta. I chose JFK this time around because of cost. The extra hassle I was put through was not worth it. Next time I fly to Russia, it will be through Atlanta and that is were Elena's POE will be too...
