I am wondering about CBP Form 3299. I (petitioner) and my wife (beneficiary) are flying into Miami next week. (My wife just got her visa approved!). Do we have to fill CBP Form 3299 at the airport? The reason I am asking is because CBP Form 3299 seems applicable only if one is not accompanying the the items being declared, for example, the the items are being sent by ship while we fly in by plane. It therefore seems to me that CBP Form 3299 will not be applicable when we fly into Miami?

Is my interpretation correct? The reason I am worried about the CBP Form 3299 is because it asks for an itemized list of everything, but right now we are just packing and not itemizing anything!!

If my interpretation is correct (that is, we do not have to fill CBP Form 3299), is Form 6059B the only form we will have to fill? I like Form 6059B because one has to list only gifts or things acquired by me overseas.

Any light you can shed on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!
