Once you are approved at the interview and the consulate take your passport, how long can they have the passport?

I ask because I was approved on march 18 they took my passport and I apid the delivery service, on march 24 i was put in ap without reason, never I havent been arested or I havent had problem with the justice.

I e-mail them asking why I am in ap, but they dont answer nothing.

They have my passport now for 2 months.

I am wonder if they can have passport for year.

I hope someone who has had this experience can answer.

Unfortunately they do not need a reason to keep you in AP. They have one as they don't do this for the heck of it, but they will never tell you.

Hopefully it won't last long.
