These statements have been seen in many variations, but the one thing you MUST say in both statements is that you intend to many within 90 days of entering the US. Everything else is fluff, but it's a nice place to say nice stuff about your loved one and your relationship.

There is a second thing your respective letters MUST include, and that is a statement attesting you are each legally able to marry one another. That plus the statement you each intend to marry each other within 90 days of entering the US are the basics.

It is fine to add a bit more if you are inclined, but not necessary.
