Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can give me any insite at all into this. My husband is from El Salvador (EWI).( We have an approved 601 Waiver). After such a long process we FINALLY have an interview date in El Salvador (we are both in the US currently). We got notice on May 29th that our interview is on July 2 and told we need to arrive 2 weeks ahead of time. That means that we have to drop everything and leave in 2 weeks. (Our lawyer had led us to believe we'd have an advanced notice)

I have an extremely important work event on July 3 and if I missed it I would likely not have my job waiting for me when we eventually get back.

My question is- is it a horrible idea to try to reschedule our interview date in el salvador? ANY time after our current date of July 2 would be ok. Our lawyers have not been giving us a straight answer and are scaring us into thinking it could push everything back a whole year? Has anyone rescheduled? Is this a horrible idea after we've waiting this long to get this far? Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Thank you in advance
