Hi guys, I have a quick question about third party affidavits.

My parents as well as my husband's parents each wrote and signed individual affidavits. They included details of our relationship, dates, addresses, etc but did not get them notarized.

At the bottom, they are dated and signed but they don't have the part that says "Sworn before me this _______ day of _______, 2014 __________________" that I saw on many visajourney templates for affidavits. Is this ok? Notarizing seems pretty expensive in my city and I didn't want to bother if not necessary. We have proof of a joined bank account, photos, as well as these affidavits. Thanks!

If you have plenty of other documentation then I wouldn't worry about getting those notarized. If it was your primary source of proof of relationship then it would be different.

I got it notarized just to be a bit careful. But it's only because I was living in his country and I didn't have enough evidence to send in and it's what I could get. But i'm sure you'll be fine. Just make sure you have enough evidence and good luck to you!
