Hello VJ members,

Is there anyone on the forum who has experienced upgrading from F2a to IR of a USC? i have my citizen naturalization oath ceremony coming up in June.:

1. can anyone tell me what i need do to help her upgrade?

2. how long does such take or in your own experience the wait time?

3. Any special requirement aside my citizenship certificate that i need present?

NVC is pretty quick with the updating your category. usually within 30 days of receiving the documents. They will still process you and then you will be in the interview queue for F2A's but after they receive your papers they will upgrade you.

So figure you send in June 30 days or so later ou are upgraded in queue for maybe a September interview.
