Hi. VJ-members. Thanks for your help in my question. Should I send permission from ex-husband for my daughter for immigration to NVC? I see several RFE due to lack of notarized letter from the other parent allowing the child/ren to immigrate to the US. But nowhere can see this information on travel.state.gov and on guides and wiki of visajourney-site. There is a requirement Embassy in Ukraine to bring this document to the interview. What do you suggest me, please? Do I send the original permission to NVC in any case, even if they do not require it now, not to lose time on the possible RFE for this reason? If they will consider the document is not necessary for the NVC, will they return it to the embassy to Ukraine for my interview?

Forgive me if this question had to be placed in another section of the forum. I thought that the petition is on wife and child, it is closer to this section.

I would take the letter to the interview. Make sure it gives not just permission to travel but permission to immigrate and live permanently in the USA with no restrictions whatsoever.

What problems can be, if permission given for travel to visit relatives?

The problem with permission to travel for a visit is that it would not be sufficient to issue an "immigrant visa", which the CR1 is. You need permission for the child to immigrate to the USA permanently. The kind of permission you describe would work only for "visiting".

Problem = parent gets visa and child doesn't. Parent's visa is good for six months. If you can't solve the problem with the correct visa within six months, you leave without the child or start over.
