Typical Timeline to Process RFE Once Received by USCIS

I received an RFE because I forgot to answer 1 question on the application. I signed and answered the requested information and mailed it to the USCIS service center. They registered receiving the evidence May 19 and it has been almost a week and they have still not given a response. How long does it typically take USCIS to make a decision after they have received supporting evidence for an RFE? Will I be put at the back of the line and start my waiting period all over?

Doesn't typically take long. And no you won't be put at back of the line. You are basically put on the adjudicator's desk that is waiting for an RFE and one they receive it depending on where they are with there current case they usually do the ones who they receive an RFE response from. Sit tight, at least you know now that your petition is in process.

Only took a little over a week for me and you're at the California Service Center which is really fast right now. You will not be put at the back of the line, as soon as they receive your evidence they work on your case again, and soon after NOA2. You should have your NOA2 in a few days but also account for Memorial Day (the service centers won't be open).
