7 or 9 photos? confused again

Another quick question, the instructions for I-485 ( Page 3, Evidence No. 4 ) that I have to submit 2 more passport pictures. Do this refers to the G-325A that goes in this section even when it is not clearly specified?

Is this correct? I had asked before the amount of passport photos and I was confirmed it is 7 in total (described below) I am a bit confused.

I was sending this:

I-130

1 picture of petitioner with G-325A

2 pictures of beneficiary with G-325A

I-485

2 pictures of beneficiary with G-325

I-765

2 pictures of beneficiary

The passport photos are actually requirements of their respective forms, and I believe the I-130 only requires one passport photo from each. The G-325A itself does not require passport photos. If you include the I-131 for AP then that is another 2 passport photos, so you would need a total of 8. I know, it is horribly redundant and they do not actually even use all those photos.

I followed the VJ guide and it mentions photos for G-325A but no for I-485. Between VJ guides and uscis.gov I went bananas trying to figure this out. I had the extra pictures so I just put them in there. Simple stuff like this caused so much tension with mu husband because he wanted me to follow the uscis.gov instructions to T which I agree, and also I had other advise here about how many pics for what forms. Package is complete and ready to go today. I never imagined that the final prep steps could be stressful beyond belief

The guide here on VJ tells people to put their passport photos with the G-325A when assembling their petition paperwork. I guess because the G-325A is the biographical data form, but the passport photos are not actually a requirement of the G-325A itself. They are a requirement of the I-130 petition, the I-485, the I-765 and the I-131 forms. Those form's instructions tell you to include the passport photos. Most people assume the G-325A requires the passport photo because of the VJ guide stating to put the photo with that form when mailing but the G-325A has no such instructions.. I hope I did not confuse you or add to your stress by pointing out this detail.

I totally understand. Had to pay to get my husband 6 more passport photos when filing for AOS. I do not know what they do with them. They either just sit in your file forever, or they toss them. The thing is, you get your photo taken at your biometrics appointment and that is the photo used for the EAD/AP and green card.
