Hi,

I came here with a K-1 visa and got my green card. I'm in the process of preparing documentation to lift conditions off my green card. Along with a long list of things to include in documentation is "at least 2 sworn affidavits by U.S citizen friends, family, attesting to relationship and marriage".

At first, I thought it was a typed up letter confirming our relationship, dated and signed by a family or friend. But after some research, an affidavit has to be sworn under oath by someone who can do so by law (?) and need notary (?). I live in New Jersey and have no idea what I need to do, where I need to go, and how this affidavit process works.

If my in-laws are willing to sign, do we all have to go somewhere (to someone who does this professionally) and get this done? My day to submit my documents is coming up in a few weeks.... HELP!!!!
