We heard that in the near future there will be changes to the US naturlization process. So we were wondering if this was true and if so, when is this change scheduled to take place. Also how long is the process of naturlization? I am a green card holder through marriage to a US citizen and am looking into taking the steps into becoming a citizen. thanks

hi

the change is already here, the form is longer. the process remains the same, if you download the N400 form you will see that it's more detailed, longer and more questions

but the 100 civics questions remain the same, everything is the same except for a longer form. the amount of time depends on the city and state

from 3 to 5 months
