Good day,

I received my approval for my i-130 but the information was incorrect. the letter stated my spouse (Jamaica resident) lives in the US and would like a change of status. This is incorrect my husband lives in Jamaica and nothing on the i-130 says different.

I called the USCIS and they are reviewing my case. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know the time frame that I am looking on for a response. Also the USCIS said if they find that this is their error they will forward my case to the NVC, if not I will have other papers to file.

Thanks for any information on this.

JamUsLove.

Happens pretty frequently.

What did you answer on q22 on the I-130?

I replied N/A since he is not living in the US and does not need to change of status.....

Thanks for responding.

Hi Jamuslove, my husband is also in Jamaica what is your PD?

Hello

What is PD? Not too familiar with the lingo.

Happened to me it took 1 month and few weeks to resolve.Just check up on them that they are actually reviewing your case.

Thanks I will!

To the whole question? Did you answer which consulate he would be going to in the second part?

Happened to me as well.

My husband put N/A for the adjustment of status line, but did not indicate the consulate on I-130 forms he filed for me and our child. Our daugther's approval was sent to NVC and mine was set for the Adjustment of Status (yes, we indicated that I live abroad, not in US). We were tryings to correct it, had sent letters, made phone calls, had infopass. It was just waste of time. Ended up filing form I-824 Application for Action on an Approved Application
