Dear Friends,

I'm in the process of completing the I-129F and G325A forms. I'm in need of guidance in regards to completing the form with my biological mother or stepmother information. I'm 35 years old and I came to the U.S. in 1987 when I was 7 years old. My father divorced my biological mother when I was 5. My father has been my legal guardian since. My father and stepmother currently reside in the U.S. My biological mother resides in India. Since I came to the U.S. in 1987, I've met my biological mother once. We've not maintained any other type of contact.

Besides my biological mothers name, I do NOT know her date of birth, city/country of birth, and current place of residence which both I-129F and G325 a require. I've not been successful making contact with my biological mother to obtain this information. I'm not sure if the forms require biological mother information or stepmother information.

I would sincerely appreciate some insight/guidance. Please let me know if I can provide additional information that will help in addressing my inquire.

Thank You!

Thank my friends for confirming the need to input biological mother's information. My father has been my legal guardian and I've not been legally adopted by by stepmother (to the best of my knowledge). I'm not sure if I'm my stepmother is automatically my co-legal guardian after marriage.

Name is the only information I have for my biological mother. I'm unable to obtain date of birth, place of birth, and current place of residence.

Can I leave these blank and provide a brief explanation in regards to why it's blank?
