NOA1 waiting to get to NOA2 - I'm just confirming these steps

I'm just confirming these steps to make sure I'm not missing anything, or that I should be calling someone to confirm things.

This is the last correspondence we had

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number ******** With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status . . ."

That means we are in NOA1 waiting to get to NOA2, correct?
Is there anything I should be doing in the mean time? Should I have called someone??

Yes, that notice was the Notice of Acceptance. (NoA 1).

My hubby (petitioner) and I are also waiting on our petition to be approved by USCIS, after which they will send out NoA 2, to say it has been approved and being sent to NVC. In this waiting time, we are reading up on the NVC steps to ensure that we are ready and set to go when the long-awaited NoA 2 comes.

my thoughts to you would be to log into the USCIS website and sign up for case updates on the left side of the screen of this link:

Then join the May 2014 I-130 filers thread found here:

Then read and reread the information you find here on VJ, especially the fabulous and informative wiki and thread on the NVC (stage 2) process, found here:

The wiki is linked in the first post, along with other helpful information to guide you.

The thread itself is full of people going through the NVC stage.

You don't need to call for a case number until you're starting the NVC stage, and by then you'll likely have read up on things and know that it currently takes at least a few weeks after NOA2 before you bother calling for a case number

oh! and be sure to change your timeline to say Montreal, not Armenia, hehe... it's a common error!
