I got my biometrics letter today and it's scheduled for Saturday, March 18th? I didn't realize that they had appointments on Saturdays ...

Also, I just got word that my grandfather is very ill and may be dying and I may need to go home on short notice :crying: How do I go about getting an emergency AP, should the need arise? I sent in my papers for all of that about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks in advance,

~ Shannon

Biometrics are usually done by a private company that is contracted to USCIS, and Saturday appts seem to be within the norm. I guess the contractor keeps different hours than regular USCIS offices.

Re: emergency AP -- you would make an infopass appt and bring documents showing there is a real emergency (such as a fax from the hospital your grandfather is in). Also bring your plane tickets (if applicable) to show when your travel date is.
