Hi, I wanted to make this thread in order to post eventual questions that I may have, just in this one thread instead of making one each time I need to know something. Maybe some of the stuff found and asked and answered here will help some other people. You guys can follow our process, ask your own questions or anything else that is related to the k1 visa, hope we all help each other. Always feel free to private message me as well. My fiance and I are through with sending our petition in and getting approved so if you have any questions regarding any of that, I can help.

Long story short about our situation: we just got approved and our petition is now in the way to nvc. We applied late March, got approved in 22 days.

I'd like to start this off by asking something regarding the evidence of our relationship that I will have to present at the interview in my country. I have opened my very own Sprint account about a month ago. Apparently even foreigners can do so, and so I did it, so now I've got my own account and a phone, my very first step to staying here for good. However, my fiance is the one paying my phone bills. The account is in my name but it's obviously under his address and with his payment information. I am wondering if this would be a good evidence to present at my interview? I'm sure I could get some documents regarding this from sprint, a document where it's shown that it's my fiance paying for my phone.

Thank you.

Hi!

I know I am submitting phone records for our interview. We use a service called Rebtel which gives you a local number for an international number. For example, I entered my fiance's name into the website and it gave me a local number that I could call from the U.S. without charging my plan with an international call. The only downside is, he cannot call me. I can call him whenever I want, it just doesn't work both ways for all countries, and Cambodia is one of them.

I think it's really neat to have phone records to show how much you talk each day. I know we may also submit some of our facebook conversations and maybe our combine facebook timeline. (FB has a new feature where you can see all the things you've posted on each other's walls since you became friends, so that was kind of nice to submit with our initial petition)

Blessings to you and your journey!
