My spouse is still in Korea, but received a strange approved NOA2

On april 14,2014 I received a hard copy of NOA2 for CR-1 I-130.

My wife is still in Korea but the letter said,

"The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United States and will apply for adjectment of status...

bla bla..

If the persone for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the US based on this petition, the petitioner should file form I824.

However,

on Apri 16th, I received the case update letter that said

"we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.


For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

What is going on with my approved i-130?????

perhaps someone at USCIS caught the error [which was the adjudicator applied the wrong thing for the approval type]

and

for clarity, call into USCIS, get an ISO (not an easy thing) and ask when the casefile left USCIS and if it was actually pegged to go on to NVC, or no.

I'm leaning towards movement into NVC, at the moment, but there are tons of knuckleheads on the gov payroll that mess up often. a phone convo with an ISO should give you clarity.
