Hi All,

We are still waiting on our NOA2. It has been more than 5 months and yes I have called the USCIS Call Center for an update. They won't give me any information other than our application is within the normal time frame. I filed the petition without a lawyer but did have a certified immigration counselor review my petition. (All was fine) However, Since I have all this wonderful time to wait for them to make there decision I wanted to confirm what kind of documentation is needed for the I-134 Affidavit of Support as it seems to be one of the last important forms I will be required to send my fiance before his interview. I am a US Citizen born and raised in the USA that has been employed by the same company for over 13 years. I have been employed full time for 24 years and I have filed taxes every year and from the guidlines posted make more than enough to qualify as a sponser. I own property in another state that I pay a mortgage on but owe less than 50% of the current value. I have savings in the form of a CD as well as other money put away in another bank account. My question is does the consulate need my tax return for 2013, 2012, 2011 or can you supply tax transcripts from the IRS along with W2s, a letter from my employer (as described with date employment began, salary, and permancy of my position), a letter from my banks with the appropriate account information, and perhaps photo copies of Stock certificates?

Since you meet the income requirements, you can leave the assets section of the I-134 blank. No need to list them or provide proof of them. Provide your most recent tax transcript(no W-2 needed when using IRS transcript), letter from employer and/or most recent pay stubs.

Thanks so much for your response. It's just nice to have someone confirm your understanding of the process and requirements.
